History Happy Hour: The WWII Hoosier Homefront
Join the Indiana Historical Society this Thursday Jun 4 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for History Happy Hour: The WWII Hoosier Homefront.
Seventy-five years ago, World War II changed the lives of Hoosiers and all Americans. Young soldiers set off to fight while those at home became determined to support the war effort, run factories and plant victory gardens. The so-called good war challenged everyone, including women and children, as it tested the generation’s commitment to democracy. Join Hoosier historian extraordinaire James H. Madison to explore the fascinating stories behind our greatest generation that stepped up to serve their country.
Free. Additional opportunities available to support the IHS Programs and Collections.
