Meet Hugh Davies of Schramsberg

Please Join Hugh Davies, May 14th at 7:00 pm on Zoom for an in-depth discussion and tasting.

Schramsberg’s Davies family is America’s first family of sparkling wine and Wine Spectator’s Tim Fish characterizes the winery as “The modern California sparkling wine industry started with the Davies family. In 1965, long before the rush of European bubbly houses in the 1970’s and ’80’s, Jack and Jamie Davies revitalized the historic Schramsberg property, in Napa, and started making first-rate sparkling wine. Son Hugh Davies carries on the tradition today.”

One might say that Hugh Davies was born with a wineglass in his hand, and that wouldn’t be too far from the truth. Hugh was born in 1965, the same year that his parents, Jack and Jamie Davies, purchased the abandoned @Schramsberg Estate in Calistoga. Hugh grew up among the vines, caves, tanks and barrels that make Schramsberg Vineyards what it is today; the premier producer of American sparkling wines.

Join The Wine Shop by Vine & Table – Broad Ripple, as they welcome Hugh Davies by Zoom for this VIRTUAL tasting and learn their history and how Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards have earned their reputation.

If you would like to buy the wines in advance of the event and taste along, we will be sampling and discussing the following wines.
-2016 Schramsberg Brut Rosé -93 points Wine Enthusiast
– 2016 Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs -92 points Wine Enthusiast
– 2015 Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs 91 points Wine Enthusiast

We have the Blanc de Noir and the Blanc de Blanc in stock and will take orders for the Brut Rose after the event!

So join us from the comfort of your own home. An event link will be sent to you before the event starts.
